About

The Contests

We’re always on the look out for Sir, boy and Bootblack contestants to compete to represent Central Canada at International LeatherSIR/Leatherboy and International Community Bootblack. Even though you might not yet be ready to commit, if your curiosity is piqued, please contact with your questions and comments.

The Central Canada LeatherSIR, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack contests are part of the International LeatherSIR / Leatherboy and International Community Bootblack family. You do not need to be a local titleholder to compete. Local contestants may be sponsored by a club or business, or, as is the case with all titleholders to date, be self-sponsored. But you must meet and agree to the list of Contestant Qualifications.

Central Canada is one of 17 regions in North America that make up the International contest system. Central Canada titleholders must compete at the International LeatherSIR / Leatherboy and International Community Bootblack competitions in Dallas, Texas from August 27 to September 1, 2014 (Labor Day Weekend).

Titleholders must appear in their regional contests at the conclusion of their title year to award the next year’s winners.

Central Canada titleholders serve as ambassadors: for their region; for the broader LeatherSIR / Leatherboy / Community Bootblack family; and, when traveling abroad, for their Canadian leather community. But unlike many community titles, the work schedule and itinerary is to a large degree self-directed by the titleholders. Your life remains your own. There is no absolute calendar of appointments and list of commitments.

Titleholders are encouraged to attend leather and gay community events in the region; promote the LeatherSIR / Leatherboy / Community Bootblack contests and philosophy; spread brotherhood; and, to reach out to those who are interested or curious about the leather/fetish community, and our history and traditions. But, obviously, the work you chose to do has to fit within the realities of your life – and that’s your decision.

Central Canada Community Bootblack

The Community Bootblack contest is open to all bootblacks who are residents of Ontario. A previous bootblack title is not required to run for CCCB.

We often note that as player titles, our titleholders wear their sexuality on their sleeve. As Community Bootblack, you’ll work to remind people that many leatherfolk also wear it on their feet! Like LeatherSIR and Leatherboy, Community Bootblack is an erotic title. Both the contest and title are about representing the sexual side of boots and bootblacking.

Our primary goal in the Central Canada region is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leather life, our erotic expression, our leather and bootblacking traditions and history — and, of course, hot leather sex involving boot play! In addition, as Community Bootblack you are a guide and mentor to those just starting to explore their interest in boots and blacking, as well as share information and your experiences with existing established bootblacks.

The judging criteria and scoring process for Central Canada Community Bootblack is the same used in the International Community Bootblack competition. Contestants will be judged in five categories: Interview and Personal Image; Speech; Formal Personal Image; Technical Boot Shine and Technical Boot Interview; and Interpersonal Skills and Observation. The Interpersonal Skills portion of the contest will allow the competing bootblack to show off their talent and flair for bootblacking with a dominant and/or submissive of their choice and is one of the key elements that sets the international and regional Community Bootblack titles apart from other bootblack contests.

Central Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy

The contests are open to gay leathermen and leatherboys from Ontario.

You might say we’re the “bad boys” of leather contests. The LeatherSIR / Leatherboy contests grew out of the now defunct International Mr Drummer and International Drummerboy contests. One of the defining characteristics about this contest from other contests is the up front statement that it’s about sex.

LeatherSIR / Leatherboy are erotic titles. Both the contest and titles are about representing the sexual side of gay leathermen. Our primary goal is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leathermen, our erotic expression, traditions and history – and of course, hot leather sex!

Contestants are judged in four categories: Interview; Formal Speech; Physique; and Leather Sex Fantasy. The interview is a private meeting in the afternoon with the judges; the other categories happen on stage during the contest. In previous years regions were assigned a theme for the Fantasy portion: this is no longer the case, so contestants are free to devise a theme to suit their own kinks/fetishes/desires!

The fantasy portion is what sets our contests apart for those styled after the International Mr. Leather and Mid-Atlantic Leather formats. (Want to compete but curious or worried about “the fantasy?” Contact Us.)
