New afternoon contest! Community awards & dungeon social! Call for contestants!

(Toronto) – The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy 2009 contest weekend will take place Friday, February 20 through Sunday, February 22 in Toronto, Canada. Presenting Sponsor for the weekend is Steamworks, the official bathhouse for Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy.

The weekend will start with an official MEET & GREET party on Friday, February 20 at 10pm at The Black Eagle (457 Church St). Also, mingle with members of Spearhead LDSC and Toronto Bears at their regular monthly bar night, which coincides with the Meet & Greet.

Then head over to Steamworks’ kick-off party for ECLSb. This special late-night RAUNCHY LEATHER PARTY will feature special guests and sexy leather play (540 Church St, LeveL2). Regular admission fees and rules apply.

New this year is the format of AFTERNOON CONTEST & DUNGEON SOCIAL which will take place at 1pm on Saturday, February 21 at Goodhandy’s (120 Church St; at Richmond). Sir and boy contestants will vie for the regional titles, competing on stage in formal leather image, leather-sex fantasy scene, and physique/jockstrap segments. This year’s contest theme is “Blue Collar” (a wide-ranging theme including construction, mechanics, tradesmen, work gear, etc). Contestants must incorporate this theme into their fantasy scene. The afternoon will also include social time, DEMONSTRATIONS and presentation of the COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARDS.

Renowned leather emcee TOM STICE will return to host the contest. Stice is International slave 1995 and Southeast Mr. Drummer 1998. He has judged, emceed, and produced local, regional, and national leather events and contests.

Members of the JUDGING PANEL for the Eastern Canada 2009 will be: International LeatherSIR 2008 Raul J. Mendez II and International Leatherboy 2008 Bill Hoeppner, both from Florida, and International Community Bootblack 20087 Black Jack, Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2007/08 Jon and Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2007/08 Ryan, all of Toronto. Tally master for the contest will be Dan Madden, also from Toronto.

The contest will also feature the OFFICIAL STEP-DOWN of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR Jon and Eastern Canada Leatherboy Ryan, who served two title years during a transition and reorganization of the organization.

On Saturday night, the ECLSb crew will head over to the annual Spearhead LDSC FANTASY BALL at 10pm at the Opera House (735 Queen St East), which this year is also the OFFICIAL LEATHERSIR / LEATHERBOY VICTORY PARTY. Visit the Spearhead website for full details on Fantasy Ball.

Saturday night survivors can head out to Mr. Leatherman Toronto’s monthly LEATHER BRUNCH on Sunday, February 22 from 11am-2pm at The Churchmouse & Firkin (second floor; 475 Church St, at Maitland), with special guest group Spearhead LDSC.

Sunday afternoon at 2pm, unwind and wind up at SIRS, BOYS & STEAM — a special LeatherSIR/Leatherboy bathhouse event at Steamworks (540 Church St, LeveL2). Regular admission fees and rules apply.

Even though you or someone you know might not yet be ready to commit, anyone whose curiosity about competing is piqued, is encouraged to contact the contest producers (see below) with questions and comments.
