Tony Palazzo wins Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2009 & Brad Hill wins Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2009

(Toronto) – The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2009 contest weekend was held February 20-22 in Toronto, Canada. Presenting Sponsor for the weekend was Steamworks, the official bathhouse for ECLSb.

Two Sirs and two boys vied for the regional titles, competing on stage in leather image, leather-sex fantasy scene, and physique/jockstrap segments. The contest is open to leathermen from Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

When the judges’ scores were tallied, the title of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2009 was awarded to Tony Palazzo, 53, of Toronto. Also competing for LeatherSIR was Steven Shinbin.

The title of Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2009 was awarded to Brad Hill, 27, of Toronto. Also competing for Leatherboy was Matthew Moore.

This year’s contest theme was “Blue Collar” (a wide-ranging theme including mechanics, tradesmen, work gear, etc). Contestants had to incorporate the theme into their fantasy scene.

Judges for the contest were: International LeatherSIR 2008 Raul Mendez; International Leatherboy 2008 Bill Hoeppner; International Community Bootblack 20087 Jack Pearce; Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2007 Jon; and, Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2007 Ryan. Tally Master was Dan Madden. Judge’s boy was Master C’s slave Iain.

New this year was the format of a Saturday afternoon contest, which was held at Goodhandy’s. Renowned leather emcee Tom Stice returned for his third year of hosting the contest. Special guests Tony Buff and Derek Da Silva performed a Dynamic Suspension Shibari Demo. The contest was the official step-down of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR Jon and Eastern Canada Leatherboy Ryan, who served two title years during a transition and reorganization of the regional organization.

During the contest, ECLSb Community Builder Awards were presented to three individuals in the community in recognition of their outstanding volunteer commitment to the leather community of Toronto. Awards were presented to Dan Madden, Robert Rochon and David Adkin.

The contest weekend started with a Meet & Greet at The Black Eagle. Contestants, judges and weekend attendees, mingled with members of Spearhead LDSC and Bears of Toronto at their regular monthly bar night, which coincided with the Meet & Greet. Following the Meet & Greet, a special late-night raunchy leather party took place at Steamworks.

The official ECLSb Victory Party was held Saturday night at the annual Spearhead LDSC Fantasy Ball. The celebration continued Sunday at Mr. Leatherman Toronto’s monthly leather brunch, followed by Sirs, boys & Steam, an afternoon sauna and play party at Steamworks.
