(Toronto) – The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2010 contest was held Saturday, February 13 in Toronto, Canada. Sir Marc Poisson, of Toronto, Ontario and boy ian, of Hamilton, Ontario claimed the regional titles, competing on stage in leather image, leather-sex fantasy scene, and physique/jockstrap segments. Presenting Sponsor for the weekend was Steamworks, the official bathhouse for ECLSb.

LeatherSIR/Leatherboy are erotic titles representing the sexual side of gay leather men. The primary goal of ECLSb is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leathermen, their erotic expression, traditions and history and, of course, BDSM and hot leather sex! The contest is open to gay leathermen from Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

The Saturday afternoon contest was held at Goodhandy’s. Renowned leather emcee Tom Stice, of Chicago, returned for his fifth year as contest host. With only one contestant in each of the Sir and boy title contests, Sir Marc and boy ian had to complete all contest segments and achieve a minimum of 70% of the total score to be awarded the titles.

Judges for the contest were: International LeatherSIR 2009 Tony Palazzo, from Toronto, who served as head judge; International Leatherboy 2009 Brad Hill, from Toronto; International Community Bootblack 2009 Syr Evan, from Dallas; boy Alex Dunlop, Bootblack Toronto 2006 and recipient of the ICBB 2006 Community Choice Award, from Toronto; and, Matthew Pavelich, Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2008 and Tally Master for ECLSb 2005-2007, also from Toronto. The Tally Master was Master C’s slave Dan, of Toronto. Judge’s boy was Master C’s slave Iain, of Toronto.

This year’s contest theme was “Cyber.” Contestants had to incorporate the theme into their fantasy scene performed on stage during the contest. The theme permitted contestants to include a wide range of play skills, as long as the scene somehow involved the internet or computers. The fantasy portion is what sets the ECLSb contest apart from many other contests styled after the International Mr. Leather and Mid-Atlantic Leather formats.

The contest was the official step-down of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2009 Tony Palazzo and Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2009 Brad Hill. Sir Tony and boy Brad went on to claim the international titles in San Francisco in October 2009 and will continue their international title year until the end of July.

During the contest, ECLSb Community Builder Awards were presented to three individuals in recognition of their outstanding volunteer commitment to the leather community. Awards were presented to boy Alex Dunlop, Gloria McIsaac and boy iain, all of Toronto.

ECLSb weekend started with a Meet & Greet at Black Eagle Toronto where contestants, judges and weekend attendees mingled with members of Spearhead celebrating the kick-off party for Fantasy Ball. A special late-night raunchy leather party took place on Saturday night at Steamworks. The club cranked up the atmosphere of fetish play, including a dedicated watersports area, to attract more hardcore players and the men that love them, and featured DJ Frank Wild (Pig Party, Folsom Europe, Berlin). Saturday night survivors showered off in time to continue the celebration at Mr. Leatherman Toronto’s monthly leather brunch at The Churchmouse & Firkin. The official ECLSb Victory Party was held Sunday night at the annual Spearhead Fantasy Ball at the historic Court House in downtown Toronto, featuring DJ Frank Wild.
