| Call for Contestants! | ||

Contestant registration for the Eastern Canada LeatherSIR / Leatherboy 2012 contest is now open. Even though you (or someone you know) might not yet be ready to commit, anyone whose curiosity about competing is piqued, is encouraged to contact the contest producers with questions (see below). The ECLSb contest will take place Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Toronto. It’s the main event of the contest weekend which runs Friday, February 17 through Monday, February 20 (the ‘Family Day’ holiday weekend in Ontario). The contest is open to leathermen and leatherboys who are residents of Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Note, this is not a couples contest; contestants compete individually for each title. Learn more about contestant requirements. The winners of ECLSb will advance to compete at the 2012 International LeatherSIR/Leatherboy contest weekend in San Francisco (your hotel and air expenses paid!). ISLb will take place Thursday, July 26 through Sunday, July 29 in San Francisco, coinciding with the Dore Alley leather street fair! Deadline for contestant registration is Monday, February 13. Since 2005, ECLSb contest weekend has been produced by Brandon Matheson (EC LeatherSIR 2004) and Dan Falkenham (EC Leatherboy 2004). Dates and venues are confirmed for the MEAT & GREET kick-off party and VICTORY BRUNCH for the Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2012 contest weekend, which will run Friday, February 17 through Monday, February 20 (a civic long weekend in Ontario). The Presenting Sponsor of ECLSb 2012 is Steamworks, the official bathhouse of ECLSb. ECLSb 2012 weekend will begin with the official MEAT & GREET at Black Eagle Toronto (10pm. Fri, Feb 17. 457 Church St). Meet and mingle with contestants, judges, out of town guests and local leather folk. Black Eagle Toronto has been a strong supporter of the ECLSb contest since holding the first ECLSb contest in the bar in 2003. The weekend’s main event will be the Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2012 contest, which will take place Saturday, February 18 at Goodhandy’s (120 Church St, at Richmond). Please note, the contest will be held at a new earlier time! Doors will open at 12:30pm; the contest will start at 1:30pm sharp! Admission will be $10, with proceeds to ECLSb travel fund. Saturday night survivors will be up in time for the butchest brunch in town. Join the new ECLSb titleholders at a special ECLSb VICTORY BRUNCH at the Churchmouse & Firkin (11am-2pm. Sun, Feb 19. Upstairs, 475 Church St). Since 2009, the Churchmouse & Firkin has been an important Community Partner with ECLSb. The 2012 contest weekend will mark the 4th ECLSb Victory Brunch held at the pub. Special guests at the MEAT & GREET and VICTORY BRUNCH will include International LeatherSIR 2011 Alan Penrod, from Atlanta (GA); International Leatherboy 2011 pup Nitro, from Atlanta (GA); and International Community Bootblack 2011 Luna, from Oakland (CA). In addition to meeting the new 2012 ECLSb title team, the Victory Brunch will also be a time to say Thank You and show appreciation for our outgoing regional titleholders who will be wrapping up their title year — Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2011 Master Chuck, from Sudbury (ON), and Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2011 boy iain, from Toronto (ON).  Master Chuck and boy iain (Eastern Canada LeatherSIR and Leatherboy 2011) will be in Ottawa for Mr. Leather Ottawa November 11-13, and will be presenting three workshops on Saturday as part of MLO’s programming. Techno Zapped – Electro-stimulation and electrotorture play, equipment, considerations within scenes, and how to build your own toys. Risk Management – Master Chuck will guide participants through risk management practices and philosophies and the then get participants to risk manage a play scenario Batter Up: An Intro to Cock and Ball Torture – From “don’t touch my nuts” to “spreading his legs,” ball stretching, percussion play and the use of hands and toys, safety and health! We’ve posted pics from our first Rough House @ Steamworks on October 2! Check them out! It was a full house, with Master Tony (International LeatherSIR 2009 and Eastern Canada LeatherSIR 2009) in room 122 broadcasting sleepsack confinement, sounding and flogging to the rest of the club; further flogging, whip and cat’o'nine tails play in the gym; watersports in the wet area; and who knows what going on behind closed doors. Piggy!
The next Rough House will be November 6 @ Goodhandy’s!

RIP: Andrew MacDonald, Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2005 | ||
Very sad news. Eastern Canada Leatherboy 2005 Andrew MacDonald passed away Wednesday July 27 in Nova Scotia, following a courageous battle with cancer. Andrew was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February 2010. Today his words to us in a touching letter written that month, ring so ever true: “I’m glad we’ve had the opportunity to share each others company.” We will miss you, Andrew. Rest in peace.
