Event line-up for ECLSb Contest Weekend

The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2010 contest weekend will run Friday, February 12 through Monday, February 15 (a civic long weekend in Ontario). The weekend will include a busy roster of five events involving three leather organizations. The Presenting Sponsor of the ECLSb contest weekend is Steamworks, the official bathhouse of Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy 2010.

LeatherSIR/Leatherboy are erotic titles representing the sexual side of gay leathermen. The primary goal of ECLSb is networking and outreach, to help educate the community about leathermen, our erotic expression, traditions and history, and, of course, BDSM and hot leather sex!

Members of the judging panel will be: International LeatherSIR 2009 Tony Palazzo, from Toronto, who will serve as head judge; International Leatherboy 2009 Brad Hill, from Toronto; International Community Bootblack 2009 Syr Evan, from Dallas; boy Alex Dunlop, Bootblack Toronto 2006 and recipient of the International Community Bootblack 2006 Community Choice Award, from Toronto; and, Matthew Pavelich, Mr Leatherman Toronto 2008 and Tally Master for ECLSb 2005-2007, also from Toronto.

Tally Master for ECLSb 2010 will be Master C’s slave Dan, of Toronto. Judge’s boy will be Master C’s slave Iain, of Toronto. The ECLSb contest emcee will be Tom Stice, International slave 1995 and Southeast Mr. Drummer 1998.

The Eastern Canada LeatherSIR/Leatherboy contest is open to leathermen and leatherboys from Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Contestant registration is now open. Registration forms are available for download at www.LeatherSirCanada.com.

The weekend will begin with the official MEAT & GREET at Black Eagle Toronto (10pm. Fri, Feb 12. 457 Church St). Meet and mingle with contestants, judges, out of town guests and visitors, as well as members of Spearhead celebrating the kick-off for Fantasy Ball.

The weekend’s main event is the EASTERN CANADA LEATHERSIR/LEATHERBOY 2010 CONTEST, which will take place Saturday afternoon at Goodhandy’s (Doors 1pm; contest 2pm. Sat, Feb 13. 120 Church St, at Richmond). Admission $10; proceeds to ECLSb travel fund. Contestants will be judged in four categories: Interview; Introduction/Image; Physique/Jockstrap; and Leather Sex Fantasy based on the region’s assigned theme. The interview is a private meeting prior to the contest with the panel of judges; other categories take place on stage during the contest.

The 2010 contest theme will be “Cyber.” Contestants must incorporate this theme into their fantasy scene. The theme can include a wide range of play skills, however, the fantasy must involve the internet, computers, etc. The fantasy portion is what sets the ECLSb contest apart from many other contests styled after the International Mr. Leather and Mid-Atlantic Leather formats.

The contest will also include the presentation of the ECLSb COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD. Awards are presented to individuals in recognition of their outstanding volunteer commitment to region’s leather community. Past recipients of the ECLSb Community Builder Award include Ian ‘Black’ Turner, ‘Master R’ Robert Rochon, David Adkin and Dan Madden.

The weekend event with the most sex and sweat will be SQUEAL 2, the official ECLSb weekend sex party at Steamworks (10pm. Sat, Feb 13. 540 Church St, Level 2). SQUEAL 2 is the sequel to last year’s raunchy leather party. Regular club admission fees & rules apply.

Saturday night survivors will be up in time for the butchest brunch in town. Join the new ECLSb titleholders at a special Valentine’s Day edition of Mr Leatherman Toronto’s LEATHER BRUNCH at the Churchmouse & Firkin (11am-2pm. Sun, Feb 14. Upstairs, 475 Church St). Hosted by the MLT 2010 title team: Mr Leatherman Toronto David Ivey, Mr Leather Fellowship Devon Thompson and Bootblack Toronto Bootboy Digger.

The official ECLSb VICTORY PARTY will be Spearhead’s FANTASY BALL, one of Toronto’s must-attend leather events, featuring DJ Frank Wild of the Pig Party (Folsom Europe) in Berlin, and Steamworks Berkeley (9pm. Sun, Feb 14. The Court House, 57 Adelaide St East). Tickets $25 advance (Priape & Northbound); $35 door. Info: www.spearheadtoronto.com
